Taylor began recording ASMR using her phone, and later uploaded them to YouTube. She also put all her content private, mainly due to difficulties with her new equipment, and also being overwhelmed by the popularity of her channel. Wired UK calculated that she made $1,000 every each day through her YouTube channel in February of 2019.
Helfer was raised in rural Donalda, Alberta, Canada in Canada, the children of Dennis and Elaine Helfer. The two are born to German, English, Swedish and Norwegian origin. She was a graduate of Stettler's William E. Hay Composite High School. Three sisters she shared with lived on their family's grain farm. In the age of 17 a modeling scout at an agency spotted Helfer when he was waiting at the front of a line for entry into the cinema.
